March to October:
Monday – Friday: 9am-5pm (9am-6pm July & Aug)
Weekends & Bank Hols: 11am-5pm (11am-6pm July & Aug)

Last admisson July/Aug: 4.45pm

November to February:
Monday – Friday: 9am-4pm
Weekends & Bank Hols: 11am-4pm

Closed: 24-26 December. (Open 27 Dec – 1 Jan 11am-4pm weather permitting)

Museum & Castle Gardens Admission Prices 2017

Please note, those visiting the museum between March and October need to buy a combined ‘Gardens & Museum’ ticket. There is free entry to the gardens from 1st November to end of February.

School tours and group bookings are welcome

Accessibility   Both floors of the Museum and the Peacock Tea Room are fully wheelchair accessible. There is a lift to the first floor.

Group Tours   Please note the museum is a self-guided experience. Floor plans are provided which explain the theme of each of the 19 exhibitions.

Behind-the-scenes Tours   For groups interested in vintage machinery, we can provide behind-the-scenes tours on a Tuesday – so you can see some of the restoration projects being undertaken by our group of volunteers. Advanced booking essential. Tel 053 9184671.
